Anne Wienholz, our deputy professor this semester at IDGS, gave her welcome speech on 10.06.2020, live via online video conference.
She spoke from about her current study, which she had conducted as part of her post-doc position at Boston University (Massachusetts, USA). The topic was: "Effects of phonology and age of acquisition on the processing of American Sign Language (ASL)".
Two female interpreters interpreted from German into the DGS and vice versa. About 40 students and employees of the IDGS gained a very good insight into the presented research results and took the opportunity for subsequent discussion.
Many thanks to the speakers and all those present!
