On November 9th, 2022 the EGS Lab Party took place at IDGS. The goal of this event was to open the doors of the Experimental Sign Language Lab at the IDGS and to show in which projects research is currently being conducted and which technical equipment the Sign Language Lab of the University of Hamburg has. The event started with a public lecture about the different research projects, which could also be followed hybridly on screen. Afterwards, there was the opportunity to take a closer look at the laboratory in a guided tour. Students and visitors were able to sit in front of the eye-tracking device and experience how it works when eye movements are recorded. For the EEG device, one could try on an electrode cap. At the end, despite the wintry temperatures, there was a small buffet and drinks in the inner courtyard of the institute to talk to each other and answer any questions. We are pleased that we were able to welcome some interested people, in order to provide an insight into the work in the laboratory.
