On June 21 and 22, the conference "Access to palliative care: perspectives and participation of deaf people" took place at Landshut University of Applied Sciences. Findings from the DeafPal research project and various aspects of participation in research were presented. The first day dealt with the medical perspectives of palliative care in Germany, while the second day focused on the research methods of the DeafPal project. In addition to various speakers, the student research project TiZNA was also invited to give a poster presentation.

The talks and discussions with various experts enabled a lively exchange, which opened up new perspectives and approaches and encouraged reflection. We would like to thank the DeafPal team and all invited guests for this valuable exchange and look forward to incorporating the knowledge gained and contacts made into further research processes in a meaningful way.
