In early June 2019, we were happy to welcome three visitors from the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT): Pamela Conley, Karen Beiter and Charmaine Yarka took the chance to visit our institute spontaneously and talk to our lecturers Stefan Goldschmidt and Simon Kollien.
Ms Pamela Conley is an associate professor in the Liberal Studies Department at RIT/NTID. Her primary responsibilities are teaching seminars on Writing, Global Deaf Literature and Deaf Literature. She is a board member of the Empire State Association of the Deaf, is a state affiliate of the National Association of the Deaf.
Ms Karen Beiter is an assistant professor in the Information and Computing Studies Department at RIT/NTID. Her primary responsibilities as program coordinator for cross-registered bachelor-level students are tutoring, advising and helping students obtain support services, and teaching courses such as Introduction to Programming and Freshman Seminar.
