Silent movie - a cinema for deaf and hearing people
A promise of the modern age: deaf and hearing people are scared together by Dr. Caligari. But with the sound film the common ground was over; but not at the Institute for German Sign Language and Communication of the Deaf: Curtain up for "Alice and the Aurifactor". A short review of the early history of the Institute for German Sign Language and Communication of the Deaf and its contribution to the recognition of sign language at the Art Nouveau Info-Desk.
