On 18 April 2017, David Mckee visited the Institute for German Sign Language at the University of Hamburg. The New Zealand sign language researcher, together with Rachel Mckee, is one of the pioneers in sign language linguistics, dictionaries, reference grammar books and sign language teaching for New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL). Stefan Goldschmidt, Okan Kubus and Annika Herrmann welcomed him, gave him a guided tour of the institute, visited the library and film studio, and learned a lot about his work in New Zealand. It was a very interesting visit.
