On Friday, 20 April 2018, Annika Herrmann held a lecture about multiple perspectives in the field of German sign language at CNRS, Université Paris. Her lecture was part of an interdisciplinary SFL workshop titled “Embodied points of view: sign languages linguistics, multimodality, art and cognitive sciences in crossing perspectives.” Individuals from the fields of theater, performance studies, experimental psychology, and gesture and sign language research gathered to discuss different views on the topic of “embodied perspectives.” They included Darran Saunders, Irene Mittelberg, Chloé Dechery, Laurence Conty, and François Quesque, as well as many other experts who joined the panel discussions. The inspiring workshop and the lovely Parisian weather ensured an enjoyable, successful gathering.
