Study results DFG-project CoDiPro (videos in DGS and IntS)
As part of the DFG-funded project CoDiPro, researchers are investigating how deaf children and adults, as well as L2 learners, process German Sign Language (DGS) and written German. This is a collaborative project between the Institute for German Sign Language and Deaf Communication (IDGS, Faculty of Humanities) and the Deafness, Language and Learning Lab (D2L) at the Sign Language and Audio Pedagogy department (Faculty of Education).
This video presents initial study results on how deaf children, who acquired DGS at an early age, process sentences in DGS. This bimodal bilingual lecture (English and International Sign) was given at the 17th Annual Meeting of the Society for the Neurobiology of Language at Gallaudet University (Washington, D.C., USA).
