The IDGS was represented in many ways at this year's TISLR14 conference in Osaka, Japan.
A delegation was on site at the National Museum of Ethnology (Minpaku) in Osaka.
Those who were not on site were able to participate in the conference online for a week from 2am to noon either at home or at the Gorch-Fock-Wall.
Thematically, studies on different areas were presented: e.g. projects on sign language communities, linguistic and psycholinguistic studies, historical aspects and language acquisition research.
We presented and discussed results and information from the DGS corpus project and from the institute’s EGS laboratory both live on stage and in the digital poster session.
There was also a video from our team in the great, now well-established SIGNopsis format. Information on the individual presentations and news from the two student IDGS scholarship holders from Osaka will soon be available here under News and in the social media.
Thanks to the organisers of this year's TISLR14 for a really exciting week!
