Today is the European Day of Protest for the Equality of People with Disabilities. It was established in 1992 by the representative organization "Interessenvertretung Selbstbestimmt Leben in Deutschland" (ISL). The aim of the day is to create the necessary legal basis for equality for people with disabilities. Throughout Europe, demonstrations, conferences and various other actions take place. This year, the day's motto is "Creating a more accessible future", thus setting the topic of accessibility as a main focus. In Hamburg, for example, there will be a bicycle demonstration by the Hamburg Education Network for People with Disabilities. You can also support the protest day by drawing attention to obstacles in the areas of mobility, vision, hearing, technology or language.
