Sarah Schwarzenberg was invited to give a guest lecture at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen on 1 February 2024. As part of a seminar on iconicity in spoken and sign languages by Markus Steinbach and Pia Gehlbach, she reported on her research on iconic metaphors in German Sign Language. She presented various theories on metaphors and showed specifically how metaphors can be identified in the DGS corpus and subsequently analyzed.
