Exchange with international guests at IDGS

On 6 March 2024, an exchange with our international guests took place at IDGS. The exchange focused on the practical implementation of already established exchange programs in the future, e.g. between Universität Hamburg and the UFSC (Universidad Federal de Santa Catarina), but also on cross-location cooperation within Germany. There was also a lively exchange on the experiences of our Brazilian colleagues on topics such as the creation of bilingual materials, for example the recently published reference grammar for LIBRAS. At the end, there was also an online input presentation on the general challenges of bilingual grammars and the different target groups. The exchange took place in International Sign and of course included traditional Hamburg cinnamon buns.
