Interpreting students at the Hamburg Police HIT Day

Eleven IDGS interpreting students were recently on their way as interns at the annual HIT Day of the Hamburg police and fire departments. Under the guidance of Simone Scholl and Britta Harms, the interpreting students were able to observe and interpret at the various stations. The highlights of the event were the performances by the dogs-, equestrian- and motorcycle squadrons, the hands-on activities by the Hamburg fire department and a ride in a police car. The Elbschule also visited the HIT Day with children from the summer holiday program and the kids were delighted with the wide range of activities that were offered.
