Visit from Tanzania

On 4. March 2024, the IDGS welcomed visitors from Tanzania. Navotha Malaki (principal) and Hosiana Swai (staff member) from the school for the Deaf in Mwanga in the Kilimanjaro district visited Germany as part of an exchange program. They were supported by Pastor Systa Rehder from the pastoral care for the Deaf in Hamburg and Lübeck. They also wanted to take the opportunity to visit various educational institutions related to sign language and deafness. This included a short visit to the IDGS. During a tour of the building, Simon Kollien provided an insight into the study programs and research work. During a final visit to the library, Liona Paulus and Annika Herrmann answered further questions. Thank you very much for the visit!
