Dicta-Sign
Dicta-Sign was a three-year EU-funded research project aimed at making online communication more accessible for users of deaf sign language.
The development of Web 2.0 technologies made the internet a place where people continually interact with each other, whether this is by publishing messages (e.g. blogs, forums), modifying or adding to other people’s contributions (e.g. Wikipedia) or sharing information (e.g. Facebook). Unfortunately, these technologies are not well suited for sign language users, as they require the use of written language.
